Daniel Kidd is a Director of Kidd Aitken Legal Marketing.

Daniel has 12 years’ experience in the legal sector. He spent four years at Chambers & Partners in London, and was the Editor of the first three editions of Chambers Asia Pacific, launching the first edition in Singapore in 2008. During his time at Chambers he was responsible for every ranking table in the directory, reviewing thousands of submissions and coordinating the work of a team of 15 researchers. He also contributed to the company’s European, US and Global directories.

Upon leaving Chambers in 2010 he set up his own legal marketing consultancy, Kidd Consulting Ltd, which has been assisting local and international law firms across the world with their legal directory rankings, and other marketing and communications tasks. His Asia-Pacific experience has led him to work with many of the region’s largest law firms. He has a consistent track record of helping firms across the world secure ranking improvements in Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000 and other specialist directories. A number of his clients have won Law Firm of the Year awards from various organisations.

Daniel has lived and worked in the UK, Spain and Japan. He speaks advanced Japanese and intermediate Spanish.

Jacob Aitken is a Director of Kidd Aitken Legal Marketing.

Jacob has 12 years' experience in the legal sector. He was the Editor of the first three editions of Chambers Latin America, launching the first edition in Buenos Aires in 2008. He was responsible for every ranking table in the directory, reviewing thousands of submissions and coordinating the work of a team of 15 researchers. During his time at UK-based legal publisher Chambers & Partners, he also conducted research on European, African and US legal markets.

In 2010, Jacob launched his own legal marketing consultancy, JD Aitken Consulting Ltd, which has been advising leading law firms around the world on their legal directory rankings and assisting them with the preparation of submissions, with outstanding results. Jacob's unrivalled experience in Latin America has led him to work with many of Latin America's top law firms. He has also worked with leading law firms in Europe, Asia and the US.

Jacob is based in the UK and has lived, worked and studied in Chile and Spain. He speaks fluent Spanish, intermediate Portuguese and French and is studying Arabic.

Gary Manning

Gary Manning is a marketing, communications and business development consultant.

He has over 30 years’ experience in a number of senior roles in the professional services sector, and was the marketing and business development director for 10 years at a boutique international law firm in London.

Before this he has also held senior positions at consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and leading City law firms Freshfields and Stephenson Harwood, where he managed substantial teams.

Gary specialises in law firm branding, focusing on the key elements of client communication, reputation management and thought leadership. He works with law firms, using a variety of different content management and media distribution tools, to develop and push key messages to achieve a strong brand profile and market positioning that helps drive business development and increase revenue.

He also has a great deal of experience working with law firms in producing strategic business development plans, and working closely with individual lawyers and practice groups on practical business development activities, including research and analysis of target markets, writing proposals, managing complex pitches, and implementing effective client relationship management programmes.

Gary is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Eugenia Navarro is a marketing, communications and business development specialist.

Eugenia has a Master’s in Strategic Marketing from ESADE (Spain’s leading business school, and one of the leading such institutions worldwide). She is the Director of TAMA PROJECTS.

In 2000 she joined Baker & McKenzie’s Madrid office as Marketing Director for Spain, one of the first positions of this type in the country, and remained at the firm for seven years. She currently advises major local and international law firms across the world on legal marketing and business development strategies. She specialises in law firm mergers, internationalisation and brand positioning.

Eugenia has extensive experience as a law firm trainer, benefiting from her position as Director of ESADE Law School’s Master’s in law firm management. She is the author of numerous articles about marketing and management in the specialised press, is a blogger in Expansión.com (Spain’s leading financial newspaper) and is co-director of ESADE Law School’s department of legal studies (since January 2011). In 2014 she published her first book: Legal Marketing (Ed. Tirant Lo Blanc).

Steven Ongenaet is a business development and marketing consultant with over 12 years’ experience in the professional services sector. Rachel previously worked as a senior researcher on the Asia Pacific guide at Chambers & Partners, also conducting research for the UK and USA guides. Most recently she worked as an editor and project manager at a leading language services provider, as a member of its Professional Writing Services department.

Rachel joined Kidd Aitken in 2017 and specialises in writing legal directory submissions for leading law firms around the world.

Rachel has a Master’s in Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies and a first-class BA in Modern Languages (Spanish with Chinese) from Newcastle University, and spent several years studying in Spain and China.

Ian O’Neill is a legal directory specialist.

He read European Law at Nottingham Trent University and completed the LPC at Inns of Court School of Law (now The City Law School).

Ian has almost eight years of experience of the legal sector. He spent over six years with Chambers and Partners during two separate stints. During his time as a researcher and Deputy Editor he conducted research for the Europe, Asia, USA, UK and Global guides, analysing thousands of law firm submissions from around the world. Most recently he held the position of Training Manager with responsibility for developing and delivering all aspects of training within the company.

Ian joined Kidd Aitken in 2017 and specialises in writing legal directory submissions for leading law firms around the world.

Ian has previously worked as a property developer and as a paralegal for several London law firms in Family and Criminal law matters. He has lived and studied in the UK and Germany. He speaks fluent German and is currently learning Spanish.

Giseli Farias is a legal directory specialist.

Giseli has a degree in Education from the University of Rio de Janeiro and a professional diploma in Project Management from the Brighton School of Business and Management.

Giseli worked at Chambers & Partners for several years, first as a Senior Researcher on the Chambers Europe directory, and later on as the Head of Brazil Research on the Latin America Guide. After living in London for five years, Giseli returned to Rio de Janeiro in 2012, where she established her own business offering a variety of services including events production, translation, transcription and interpretation. Giseli has assisted law firms with their directory submissions for the past five years.

Chloë holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Glasgow and is a licensed attorney in New York State.

Chloë has six years of legal experience in both the UK and US markets working for a variety of law firms primarily in the field of immigration law. She also worked at Chambers & Partners on the Professional Advisers and Global Guides, where she conducted investigative research into the FinTech sector globally and analysed hundreds of submissions from around the world.

Chloë joined Kidd Aitken in 2017 and specialises in writing legal directory submissions for leading law firms around the world.

Chloë previously worked as a paralegal and then as a freelance US immigration attorney, specialising in aliens of extraordinary ability and religious workers visas. She has lived and studied in the Netherlands, the UK and the US. She speaks conversational Italian and is currently improving her French and learning Portuguese. She is a Trustee of a migrant rights charity and is actively engaged with local politics.

Annie Luna is a marketing, communications and business development specialist.

She has more than 20 years’ experience, including positions as head of the marketing department of a top-tier Latin American law firm and a US law firm.

Annie has been appointed to key roles on international marketing committees. She was Regional Vice President for Latin America on Lex Mundi’s Marketing Committee and a Member of the Marketing Committee of the World Services Group.

Annie is best known for creating and implementing cross-industry and cross-practice marketing and business development plans for law firms, specific practice groups or individuals. She has an excellent track record of advising attorneys on a range of business development strategies, including RFPs and pitches, and has worked with law firm management committees on strategic plans over a planned timescale. She has also participated in numerous technology and IT-related marketing projects, such as CRM implementation and social media strategies.

Annie has an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She also has qualifications in Pricing Strategies and Business Tactics (Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management) and Information Technology Project Management-Marketing on the Internet (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
