Kidd Aitken Director (and former Chambers Editor) Daniel Kidd was joined by North America Research Director Kushraj Cheema and Research Director for Chambers USA James Haggerty for a recent Q&A webinar. They discussed the latest updates and answered attendees questions about the upcoming research cycle ahead of deadlines and the imminent Chambers USA Guide launch. Thank you to everyone who attended for their insightful questions and to Kush and James for their thoughtful answers.
Here are our top three takeaways:
1. How to make a submission have the most impact, especially if trying to get lawyers ranked?
Be intentional rather than taking a scattergun approach. Focus on the attorneys who are ranked or should be ranked and let the submission speak for itself. A good strategy helps theme a submission and take a more focused approach.
2. What makes a good referee?
The best referee is one who is able and has the time to respond. Choose a referee who can speak to their experience of working with your team, rather than just the lead lawyer.
3. How to improve your rankings?
Strategy and consistency. This helps with internal resourcing, gathering information, meeting deadlines, coordinating follow-ups and help attorneys engage with the process with a plan to gain and/or improve rankings.
